ADVERB
An adverb is a word that modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb.
Grace sings sweetly. (The adverb sweetly modifies the verb sings.)
Peter is very tall. (The adverb very modifies the adjective tall.)
Jade spoke too slowly. (The adverb too modifies the adverb slowly.)
Adverbs and adjectives both function as modifiers.
