Globalization?
15 July 2006Whats up people!!!
According to some info stated on the net, globalization started from 1980s. During these time, most people do not know nor shall I say, not aware of the effects of globalization on them. Unknowingly, this globalization manipulates people’s lives, and the effect, lies particularly on the third world countries, it’s ironic.
Globalization – (according to wikiedia.com) is an umbrella term for a complex series of economic, social, technological, and political changes seen as increasing interdependence and interaction between people and companies in disparate locations.
Every country in the third world feels the chaotic effect of this phenomenon, but the people living it these countries, particularly the less fortunate ones do not know globalization and the effects that lies in it. And so, poverty continues. Who are to be blamed? Since problem focuses on the county itself and the basic unit of society is the family, the state composes a variety of families, therefore, the leaders of the state are responsible for its constituents to progress or not. Every government of these unfortunate countries created programs (according to them) that will uplift the economic status and to lessen poverty. Unknowingly, these programs do not comply with the requirements needed in global competition.
Every program is created with specific objective. It is sad to know that there are side-tracks of these objectives that make us go beyond, the temptation is irresistible – wealth, prestige and power. These temptations contribute immensely for a country to slow if not hamper the progress.
People of all ages working on the internet somehow have a different world. We are all globally competitive in the sense. Do the works we are engage in contribute to goodness or the other way around?
What do you think?
