CPA – Customary Past Action
-expresses an action used to be done in the past, but o longer in the present.
- I used to visit my uncle, but now I don’t.
- My classmate and I used to walk together, but now we don’t.
- Luis used to borrow my book, but no he doesn’t.
- Our teachers used to have seminar, but now they don’t.
- Roger used to smoke, but now he doesn’t.
PGTC – Past Going To Construction
-an action intended to be done in the past but one reason or another it did not materialize.
- We were going to have a picnic, but we didn’t.
- The parents were going to ask some help from the mayor, but they didn’t.
- Roger was going to submit is project, but he didn’t.
- The children were going to party, but they didn’t.
- My father was going to work abroad, but he didn’t.
