The Present Progressive Tense
- express activities that are in actual progress at the moment the statement is made. Time expressions; now, this time, today.
- is formed with the Be-verb (is, are) + ing form of the verb.

The Three Classes of Verbs
1. Transitive verb – requires an object.
2. Intransitive verb – does not require an object.
3. Copulative verb – expresses a state of being. It is a link to a subject with a predicate noun, a predicate pronoun or a predicate adjective.
