-is used to give emphasis on the idea.
-The main verb remains in its base form.
Present Emphatic is formed with the helping verb do or does depending on the subject.
Past Emphatic is formed with the helping verb did.
Present Emphatic
1. I do talk to the supervisor regularly.
2. She does speak to grandmother.
3. The class does clean the room.
4. They do work on the project.
5. Allan does walk fast.
Past Emphatic
1. I did talk to the supervisor an hour ago.
2. She did speak to grandmother yesterday.
3. The class did clean the room this morning.
4. They did work on the project last Monday.
5. Allan did walk fast.
