Overview of the Language
9 June 2006It is important that we have to know something about the historical background of the language. In this way, we could be able to grasp some of the intricacies where most of the students and the teachers took it for granted. These obstacles may somehow hamper the learner on how to use the language properly.
Where and when do you think language started? There were no specific facts where and when this language started, as my mentor told me that it is arbitrary. It is old as the world. But as the world revolves around the sun, every language or the dialect that we are using changes as time passes by.
During the time of Shakespeare, the English used was called archaic. This is the term used by the next generation. Try to read some of the old literary works and I’m sure you will be entangled of what they were trying to express. I myself, familiar with the language find it hard to comprehend these old literary works.
Anyway this is not made for us to learn the past, rather it is a beginning for us to grasp the rapid vortex of globalization.
